I filed a bug on the Apple side for this, but since updating to (19A536g) my battery is draining like crazy.
Typical apps running are Firefox Nightly, Firefox beta and Adium. Prior to this update battery usage was not great, but I wasn't running down this fast. Starting at a full charge of 100% with light usage, I am already down to 41% and this is after 1.5 hours (during which part of the time the computer had light usage).
Firefox beta currently is the only app that shows as using significant energy.

Camelia - Are you seeing any issues such as this during your testing?

I am running now off a different wifi network, and interestingly enough the battery drain issue doesn't seem quite as severe. Firefox nightly and Firefox both show as apps using significant energy.

Some CoreAnimaton changes to firefox have recently landed in nightly. They are meant to improve power usage, but perhaps they are having the opposite effect? Would be good to rule that out as a cause (by running an older nightly or running beta or release instead of nightly maybe).

I didn't see this issue. Today, I had Firefox Nightly and Firefox Beta running -> Starting at a charge of 60%, I am down to 39% after 1 hour. I will investigate further and come back with results.

I am now running (19A546d), so I will see if things are a little better with this seed.

I am running ahead now on 10.15.1 Beta (19B86a) and seeing the same issues with battery draining rapidly on my Macbook Pro machine.

Could you install Intel Power Gadget and check whether the battery drain is reflected in its numbers? Are the numbers higher with an idle Firefox running than without Firefox running? If there's no problem when Firefox is idle, can you find out which activity is causing high power usage? Also, can you install gfxCardStatus and check whether it displays i or d in the menubar? It should be displaying i as much as possible.

I installed both programs and will report back the Intel Power gadget results. Unfortunately the gfxcard app gives me an error when I try to run it saying that my Macbook Pro doesn't have dual GPUs. My machine is a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB.

Ah ok, then GPU switiching is not a factor and you can uninstall gfxCardStatus again.

Markus: I charged my battery to 100% and then captured a log - should I attach it to the bug or send via email? It is about a 8 MB csv file. In terms of watching things while I am running, yesterday I glanced at the app a few times but I wasn't really focusing much on what it was showing.
Currently Firefox beta shows as using significant energy in the macOS apps panel. On this machine I run both Firefox beta and Nightly.
