User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0

Steps to reproduce:

Firefox does a great job of allowing users to customize the UI but it doesn't allow the main menu button to be moved. Please consider giving users the option to move the main menu button to the top-left corner of the browser. Some browsers such as Vivaldi have the main menu button there and it's a better experience, especially on Windows when the window is maximized (Fitts's law).

Actual results:

And because Firefox has a fantastic solution for scrolling through the tab bar when the user has lots of tabs open, we don't have to worry about the menu button taking up some horizontal space in the tab bar (Chrome, for example, does have to worry about this because they don't have tab scroll arrows when lots of tabs are open)

Expected results:

attached is a mockup I made a of what this would look like

This issue was discussed in class today and one of my classmates made a great point: this is a real problem on Windows because the "Close" window button is right above the menu button. And it's even more of a problem when using Windows touchscreen devices/tablets, especially because Windows no longer switches to Tablet mode when a keyboard is removed, so Firefox remains at its default density. All things considered, it makes a lot of sense to relocate the menu button to the top-left corner (which is also a "magic corner" on Windows). UX please consider this, I think the Vivaldi UI/UX team made a good call on this one.

Was just talking about this with a friend and she mentioned that Firefox actually used to have this button. I didn't know this! It really does make sense to bring this back.

Severity: normal → S3

I really don't understood, why there is no a simple way, how to move menu button to the left side. I have to use a hack via userChrome.css. I have all important components on left side - Plasma panel, FF tabs and I want menu there as well. See attached screenshot.
