:johannh - this test began failing on linux platforms when the test image was switched from Ubuntu 16.04 to Debian 10 under the ongoing work to update our linux test environment. I am suspecting that test is not able to handle the change in the underlying OS and the difference that it brings along.

This bug is a group bug handling both browser_popup_close_main_window.js and browser_popupUI.js both of which fail when run on debian 10.

Would you be able to pass on the ni for this bug to someone that may be able to offer guidance on next steps?

To test changes against the Debian 10 image, please use ./mach try fuzzy --debian-buster flag when pushing to try.

Keywords: regression

I don't think anyone in our team can be assigned to this right now, sorry. If support for platform upgrades is an urgent request please reach out to my manager. Considering that this test is still running successfully on other platforms it might be okay to disable here, though I should note that it's critical that we don't lose test coverage for popup blocking.

I'm going to make a list of bugs that we need to look into.

Closing this bug as invalid due to the redirection of focus towards shoring up ubuntu1804 test image.
