Huh, I actually get trackers on google.com right now in Germany, from adservice.google.de, which I guess is expected? Can you open the protections panel and see which trackers it displays as being blocked for you when the shield is active?

Cross-site tracking cookies appeared to be blocked, but there were trackers listed. Also, after a refresh everything was in the None detected section.
I can't seem to reproduce it anymore, at the moment.

FYI I've filed https://github.com/disconnectme/disconnect-tracking-protection/issues/100 for this. We shouldn't block Google-owned resources on a Google-owned property.

Ok, let's assume that this is what we can reproduce and forward to https://github.com/disconnectme/disconnect-tracking-protection/issues/100

FYI this would have been fixed by https://github.com/mozilla-services/shavar-prod-lists/pull/78, but we had to revert those changes due to https://github.com/mozilla-services/shavar-prod-lists/issues/81. I'll update when fixed.
