RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1445211

People

(Reporter: blade.liger, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0

Steps to reproduce:

I download a page (Save page with name)

Actual results:

When the download ends, it results failed (with the yellow dot on the icon) and the icon to retry. When retrying, it works.
It happens every time, I never had a successfully reported download in YEARS. I just got now to post it because I am unsure how such a bug is still here after so much time.

Expected results:

It should've reported the page file download was successful

I have to specify the file is correctly saved at the first attempt, even tho reported as failed.

Did you by chance use some content blocker like uBlock Orgin?

Yes, it seems it is Adblock Plus now that I tried to disable it and it worked.
The problem is that I can't delete that extension because on a lot of sites, forum and blogs or any download site, firefox keeps opening pages that it isn't able to close and I have to manually restart firefox entirely with windows task manager.

It's know issue - bug #1343466.

I know that pain. As workaround, I can recommend to disable uBlock Orgin or other content blocker before downloading website pages and re-enabling it after.
