158452 - Shortcut keys for "Open Unrequested Windows"

I love being able to disable pop-up windows from within Mozilla using the
Scripts and Windows preferences, and not allowing pages to open unrequested
windows.  A problem, however, is that using this feature blocks some windows
that are in fact requested by clicking on a link...my proposal is to make some
shortcut key set that will toggle this on or off.  It's a pain to have to go
into the menu system, go to preferences, enable it, view the page, then go back
in and turn it off...and have to do that for every page that needs it turned on.
 A shortcut key to toggle it on and off would be very helpful.

What about a  pref that you can add a "Enable/disable unrequested windows"
button in the toolbar ?

Shortcut keys and quick settings toolbars are discussed in bug 38521. Please do
not reopen even if you think bug 38521 is not exactly what you want, because
there is a dupe for shortcut keys too, I just cant recall the bug number.

wesha : bug 38521 is about a pref toolbar. Why do you think that i asked the
reporter if he is ok with that ?

bug 38521 is about _multiple_ possible ways of accessing frequently needed
prefs. There's a dupe for shortcut keys for prefs too, so if you dare to reopen
this one, please go out and find that dupe.

The preferences bar that is presented in bug 38521 is "acceptable" I suppose,
but extra toolbars clutter the screen.  I'm using the pinball theme because I
don't like all that extra space taken up at the top of the screen and prefer the
smaller buttons pinball offers, yet I don't like full-screen because I can't see
the taskbar.

I suppose I could deal with having the extra toolbar, but I'd really prefer a
shortcut key for it...although I haven't been able to locate the bug that deals
with shortcut keys for preferences...

Please read bug 38521 discussion, comment 77 and below. Also, try backtracing
the bugs that dupe to bug bug 38521. That bug is kinda a central place for
discussion on preferences quick-switching.

We can't add shortcust for all preferences.
Many users want to switch the proxy on/off etc.
If you need this very often it should no problem to have one additional button
on your toolbar.
