Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0
Steps to reproduce:
This is intermittent playing youtube videos; It's pretty reliable at the end of Tom Scott videos; and happens intermittently on BigClive videos.
(Fedora 30, x86-64, both the packaged and upstream mozilla packages
with and without my own ffmpeg; disabling hw accel doesn't help).
Actual results:
'Gah. Your tab just crashed.
We can help!
Choose Restore This Tab to reload the page.'
Nothing in about:crashes, no kernel logs, nothing in coredumpctl, nothing in abrt
After a lot of debugging with systemtap, I turned on linux's 'print fatal signals'
and I see:
[15713.188681] CPU Watchdog Timeout (hard): AudioIPC1[8234]
in the dmesg; so I think this is an rlimit or timer set by firefox that's erronaously firing and taking out the tab.
Expected results:
Video happily plays
