Also, both CPU usage and fans were going insane before the crash.

Very trivial volume on nightly. Did the crash occur when you were trying to download something, like in Comment 1? In order to investigate further, we need additional steps to reproduce.

I can tell you what I did :

1. Open Firefox in safe mode
2. Go to Mega.nz and download a file > 1 GB in size
3. Witness Firefox getting slow and eventually crashing

This crash only happened when downloading from mega.nz
It only happens when downloading large files
It does not happen with computers with larger RAMs ?

My computer is 2014 Macbook Air with 4GB RAM.

Hi! This seems to be fixed in Firefox 75. I haven't had a crash since Firefox 73. So, perhaps this can be closed ? Or should this bug be tested ?

Yes, I think this is fixed by Bug 1524873, thanks!
