User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0

Steps to reproduce:

I can reproduce by following these steps:

  1. Start Nightly by clicking the app on Launchpad. (I'm using macOS Catalina 10.15).
  2. Click on my gmail bookmark.
  3. Click on the link provided in the email sent by Udemy to start a new course.
  4. Click on "Continue with Google".

Actual results:

A pop-up window appears and in its title bar says "connecting" but it closes without letting me access Udemy with my Google credentials.

Expected results:

I should have been able to authorize Udemy.com to access my Google information so I can log in with those credentials into my Udemy account.

Hi Jose, I tried to reproduce this issue on our end but without success, I was able to login to udemy everytime without issues. Can you please list the name of your extensions you might have added to Firefox?

Also can you please try this issue with a fresh profile where no addons are installed and see if the issue still occurs ? you can find the steps here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

You can also try our latest Nightly build and see if the same issue occurs there as well. You can find the build here:
https://nightly.mozilla.org/

Hello Rares,

I have the following extensions enabled:
AdBlocker
Gmail AdBlocker
Privacy Possum
Evernote Web Clipper

Additionally, this extension was disabled:
IBM Security Rapport

On the other hand, I used a fresh profile with no addons installed and in that case I was able to login with my Gmail account.

Hi, Thanks for the list, after installing and removing each of those extensions it seems that Privacy Possum was blocking logging in to Udemy.com, After removing that extension I was able to login correctly.
I was able to reproduce this issue on Windows 10 using Release 70.0, Beta 71.0b3 and our latest Nightly build 72.0a1 (2019-10-24).

Hello!

I tried uninstalling Privacy Possum but still didn't allow me to login (I closed the app completely and restarted it and didn't work). I even uninstalled all the blockers I had but that didn't work either. Maybe I'd have to start with a fresh profile to make it work.

The priority flag is not set for this bug.
:jimm, could you have a look please?

Could you try safe mode? It's possible more than one extension is causing problems.

You should turn off extension for udemy website and also accept using cookies for udemy and then everything works right.

You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
