This is an RFE.
Hopefully, we should make mozilla able to automatically attach a vCard while
composing.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.compose a message and try to use a vCard file as your signature.

Actual Results:  We have to attach the vCard file manually.

Expected Results:  Suppose mozilla can attach the vCard file automatically.

I don't think they are the same. 14374 is talking about UI to *CREATE* vCard. 
Can you confirm this RFE?

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15781#c11 tells us that there's no
real vcard support (create/edit) planned for Mozilla, just the display of vcards
in messages. It should be futured. Marking as such.

But I agree that when vcard will be implemented, we should be able to attach the
vcard automatically. Lots of people are using that, but had to convert them to a
signature file when switching to Mozilla. So I'm confirming it.

Maybe in the Mail Preferences -> Server Settings, just below 'attach this
signature', we should have a toggle-button with 'attach my vcard' and an edit
button. A Signature and a vcard should be mutually exclusive.

I disagree that vcard and signature should be mutually exclusive.  I have
numerous clients (particularly lawyers) who use both.  They use the signature
file for a little boilerplate (there being no significant bandwidth restrictions
any longer) and the vcard for the contact information.

mscott has just added vCard support.

I'm not sure this bug is even valid anymore.

this is dup of bug #14373, or invalid

now that vCard support has been added, you can automatically attach it while
composing.

note, signatures and vCards are not mutual exclusive:  you can have both, one,
or neither.
