Is there a way to perform beta simulations locally? I found https://wiki.mozilla.org/Sheriffing/How_To/Beta_simulations but it only talks about using the tryserver.

Hmm, is there a way to do things without an artifact build (which is still not an actual local build), such as adding commands to the .mozconfig file? I'd like to be able to modify what is happening in C++ for testing, which I can't do when using an artifact build.

Use the ./mach try command mentioned at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Sheriffing/How_To/Beta_simulations#TRUNK_AS_EARLY_BETA with the --no-push mentioned below, then commit as a config change.

The changed version should also change the RELEASE_OR_BETA configs: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/67ecac7a2427b0c32266bd8f118c2a4ee6339a3e/build/moz.configure/init.configure#1140

If that is not sufficient to reproduce the issue, please needinfo Tom Prince for details on the server-side machinations.
