The modern configuration for search currently calls for engineName. However, this is more just a random identifier that makes it easy for readers to identify the engine.
In discussions with Mike (de Boer), we realised that this might not actually be necessary. For example, on the Remote Settings server, we could just use webExtension.id as the identifier.
If we do need a separate identifier field, then we should call it engineId to be clearer as to what it is relating to.
