Details

We've been getting feature requests to add more capabilities to the Picture-in-Picture player window, including the ability to seek the video and mute / unmute it.

Instead of recreating these controls from scratch, it should be possible to re-use the HTML5 video controls that we ship with.

If we were to do this, emanuela from UX suggests that we swap out the fullscreen button for the unpip button.

I would like to bump this to show my interest. Adding a progress bar would make the PiP video feature perfect.

Component: Video/Audio Controls → Picture-in-Picture
Version: unspecified → Trunk

We kind of gave up on reusing the main video controls widget because of different constraints/requirements for the PIP window, but there is work happening in bug 1579645 to add some of that functionality separately.
