Details
Chimera 0.4 doesn't run on 10.0.4. We need to test the OS version at startup,
and, if it's too old, put up a dialog saying so (if we can get that far).

hrm, if we're failing with dyld errors at startup, we may not get that far. do
we have any 10.0.x boxes in QA?

Not sure if we do... I do have an external hard drive with a few extra
partitions that I can install 10.0 in though. I believe there's a 10.0 CD
floating around in QA somewhere. Or Simon, do you have the install disk?

I have 10.0 CD at my desk should I just install on my spare partition ?

Ok, I finally did get 10.0.4 installed on my portable 5 gig smartdisk drive.
Verifying Chimera attempts to launch then immediately quits without
informing the user why.

so how do we 'weak link' against a framework?

Didn't we add a dialog for <10.2 systems in the trunk a while back? Is this bug
still valid?

Mike, you'd know if we added a dialog for 10.1 and before. Did we?
Do we necessarily care? I think most people are on 10.2 and up, plus we have a
message on our website stating it and will be fairly blunt about the
requirements for 0.9/1.0.

we won't even launch on 10.1 because we link against the abook framework. we
won't even get to the point where we'd show the dialog.
WONTFIX. we just need to make sure we're more explicit on the d/l page and
accompanying documentation in the disk image.
