159425 - Closing TITLE element tag has duplicate characters - causes Netscape not to render page

Mozilla 07_25_04_trunk

Open the Url above or the attached simplified testcases below. 
Expected result: Page should render (it does in IE)
Actual results: In Netscape and Mozilla, the page does not render.

The culprit is that the ending TITLE element tag has duplicate characters:
</</title>

It appears that IE ignores this and renders the page. Netscape/Mozilla does not
render the page. The same problem happens regardless of doctype.

This is an evangelism issue but CCing Nisheeth to clarify what the parser should
be doing.

The parser should be doing what IE is doing, namely treating "</" as text if it
is not part of a proper closing tag. However, if there are no other sites with
this problem it would be safer to not touch the parser.

The page does render now and the </</title> is gone. This should be set to fixed.

I'm changing the resolution from fixed to worksforme since the website modified
their code but the </</title> problem still exists.
As Heikki indicates, it would be better not to touch the parser unless we see
this problem proliferated.
Will open a meta bug to track for that.

it had numerous duplicates.
