This was mentioned briefly in bug 1509560, but that was dupped to the "make the columns resizable" bug. It also came up on HN at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=21516468 today.

It seems pretty reasonable to want to reorder to columns to group information in whatever way makes sense to the user. OS-native column views typically support this sort of thing (e.g. Activity Monitor) on Mac definitely does.

Agree, it make sense to keep these two things (resizing, reordering) as two separate bug reports/feature requests.
