Details

Affected versions

  • Fx71.0b10

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10

Pre-requisites

  • Have a child user account set-up on your windows machine.
  • From the Child account open Firefox, go to about:config and create the “security.family_safety.mode" pref (integer) and set it's value to 2.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox.
  2. Navigate to about:preferences#privacy -> Certificates -> View Certificates.
  3. Look for the "Microsoft Family Safety" certificate.

Expected result

  • The certificate is displayed in the list and can be viewed separately.

Actual result

  • The certificate is missing.

Additional notes

  • This is related to test-case for Windows Child Mode Functionality.
Has Regression Range: --- → no
Has STR: --- → yes

This is the expected behavior. Enterprise certificates (Firefox treats the family safety root as an enterprise certificate) aren't displayed through normal UI. See also bug 1491941.
