In bug 1597901, the line under the graph for orange factor says "4 failures on trunk in the past week", followed by a link. Opening the link shows the corresponding Intermittent Failures View, which only lists 3 failures.

The chart text is indeed off by a count of 1 compared to Intermittent Failures View, which wouldn't have changed recently. Cam, Joel, do you know who manages the orange factor chart on Bugzilla that Mike is referring to?

I believe the issue is specific to timing- when we measure 'last week' in the bugzilla addon vs IFV. Also is there cached data in bugzilla, I don't know.
I think :marco wrote this.

I don't think it's timing, because the bug I linked is new, and there were no oranges for it before the first that is listed.

What might have happened here and can still be observed, e.g. with bug (bug 1763179: 32 vs 31 failures): The intermittent failures view only shows failures for "trunk" repositories by default (= autoland + mozilla-central). Switching with the "Tree" menu at the top to "all" shows more. This has confused developers several times, lets change it to "all" by default.
