:mounir - I see that you worked on this file back in 2012; if you are no longer the appropriate contact, could you please pass the ni on to someone who may be able to comment?

From the reftest analyzer, it looks like the difference is just for the location of the text string in the input field. I suspect it might have to do with the changed window management system and themes from unity to GNOME3.
Would fuzzing the expected outcome for gtkWidget be an acceptable way forward?

To run tests against ubuntu1804 image, please use the argument like so: ./mach try fuzzy --ubuntu-bionic
