Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:70.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/70.0
Steps to reproduce:
Somehow fail to download a large file, it happens maybe 20% of the time on my Samsung S10, mostly on larger files such as pdf's, perhaps that the app gets put in some kind of sleep mode to save battery or something.
Actual results:
Download notification gets stuck, pause and cancel buttons don't work, no way to clear the notification without restarting the phone, even after downloading other files or the same file again.
Expected results:
Notification should've changed to a failure msg, or at least be cancellable. I should not have a stuck notification that's impossible to remove.
Hi, could you please help with the following information:
- On what device and firmware have you encountered the issue?
- Can you provide the link of the file that you wanted to download?
- How many mb has the file?
- Do you encounter this issue only with pdf files?
I tried with a Sony Xperia Z5 (Android 7) on Firefox Release 68.3.0., Firefox Beta 68.4b1 and was not able to reproduce.

This is not something we will fix on Fennec. Can I encourage you to give Firefox Preview (Fenix) a try instead? If you encounter the same problems there, please file a bug at https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix
Firefox Preview can be found on the Google Play Store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.fenix

I haven't seen this issue happen for a couple of months now. Before that it happened with roughly every 5th download, so I guess it has been resolved.
