Details
With v1.1Beta - Gecko/20020721, I have been experiencing frequent increases in
CPU utilization to 100%, and the only way to break the "hold" on the CPU is to
close Mozilla completely (i.e., both browser and "quickstart" core). This
immediately reduces utilization to normal levels. This problem did not exist
with v1.0 or v1.1alpha. I have been unable to determine a clear pattern as to
when this happens, although it does appear to relate to websites which
occasional "stall out" when loading. If I can further clarify what triggers
this problem to occurs, I will add to this report.
Trunk builds from the 27th or later has the fix for bug 145884, which might be
what you see. To test that: turn off HTTP pipelining under
preferences/advanced/HTTP Networking
If the bug still occures: Please provide an URL where it happens. Without at
least that, there isn't really much to go on here..
