Affected versions
- 72.0b4
Unaffected versions
- 71.0RC
Affected platforms
- macOS 10.13
Steps to reproduce
- Have two people join a talky.io room
- Have the person which is connected with earphones (jack) remove it
- I used MEMT T5 with mic earphones
- Reconnect the earphones (jack)
Expected result
- Audio/video is back and in sync
Actual result
- Audio/video is off sync, a delay of 2-3 sec is introduced
Regression range
- Not sure if this is a regression or not, I will try and find a regression ASAP, it might take some time since I have to do it manually (can't use mozregression).
Additional notes
- Other operating systems are not affected by this (windows 7, ubuntu 18.04)

Happy to take a patch in 74, but since it has a priority assigned I'm marking it fix-optional so that we don't keep seeing it in weekly regression triage. Dan, do you think the see also issues might be duplicates?

It does sound that way. :bogdan_maris, if you have a chance, could you retest this to see if this has been fixed by Bug 1586370? Thank you.

I did retest this on Fx74 with the same setup as in comment 0 and I was unable to reproduce the delay.
Though a short delay of 1-2 seconds is present right after I reconnect the headphones which I assume is acceptable, since the OS needs that time to identify the headphones device.
