User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0
Steps to reproduce:
I attempting to import my bookmarks from Chrome. A recent update is causing far too many problems for me to deal with as I do not have that much time to report problems to be ignored.
Actual results:
I imported my bookmarks from Chrome. It says successful . I open bookmarks to take a look verify ALL of my bookmarks were imported. Seemed to quick to completely import, so I go have a look. I look at the structure and I notice "Mobile Bookmarks" folder, ok, so far so good. I then click on the mobile bookmarks folder to find all my mobile bookmarks are EMPTY?
Expected results:
I expected my entire bookmark collection from my previous browser to be FULLY imported not just a fraction of them. My mobile bookmarks are from all my mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.) It is very discouraging to find out just how lazy developers are that you cannot even import someones ENTIRE bookmark section and only selective of the imports. Now I read I have to be careful as some bookmarks may be BROKEN. I have FAR too many to verify, there should be some verification tool to set ADVANCED users (like me) who now need to be at ease. I am very uncomfortable with this move from Chrome to Firefox as I did the opposite some 16 - 18 years ago when I got tired of struggling to read web pages that did not render properly. (Last I check this problem still exited since 12.x).

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

Hi and thanks for reporting this. Which exact version of Chrome is this about?
Please also take a look at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/governance/policies/participation/ if you would like to be active here. Developers here do not add bugs intentionally, which is what you imply. Especially not when another third-party software might have changed something in its setup how they store bookmarks.
Excuse me, I never "implied" the developers added bugs to Firefox, it is typically an accident but I implied I moved from the now defunct Chrome browser which in the latest update caused me too many problems to deal with in CHROME to report and go unheard / unresolved.
Chrome Version is 79.0.3945.79 (Official Build) (64-bit)
If there is anything else you need, please feel free to reach out.
Best Regards,
Doc

You might not have directly implied adding bugs, but calling developers lazy is fairly close to that. Regardless of which product you're talking about, criticising developers or other people/groups is not acceptable. Please read the etiquette before commenting further.

I've just found/remembered this is a duplicate of bug 1485286 - I guess Chrome probably didn't have mobile bookmarks originally, and then added it, and unfortunately we haven't caught up yet.
As a workaround, you should be able to export bookmarks via Chrome's UI as html, then import them by going to Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks, then import bookmarks from html from the right-hand button on that window that pops up. You'll probably need to re-organise them, but it will at least get them across.

[OT] Doc: Thanks for "doing us a favor" by reporting issues - this is always welcome. However, the "us" that you wrote also includes you yourself. I am also "volunteering my time" here. I expect humans to respectfully communicate, and that's possible by not using "sarcasm" in our very first interaction. Again, thanks for your understanding.
