de-selecting preference to switch to new tab doesn't work for tabs opened from bookmarks

Steps to reproduce:

In Preferences I de-selected the preference "When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately"
I right-clicked a bookmark and selected "Open in a New Tab"

Actual results:

The bookmark opened in a new tab and the new tab became the active tab.

Expected results:

I expected the same result as I get when right-clicking a link on a web page and selecting "Open Link in a New Tab". Perhaps bookmarks are not counted as links?

Enter about:config into the address bar and double-click browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground to set it to true.
