Open the Sidebar, wait a little bit (too bad in Chimera) that the window contents is refreshed has it must be redrawn, thanks to the Sidebar... Now click on the Maximize button (green) and the window enlarge and the sidebar is put out the right screen border. Does that mean that Cocoa does not like the Sidebar ? (Sorry could not resist ;-) Keep up the good work. Build 0731.
sounds like we just need to take the sidebar state into consideration in that action.

this is a cocoa bug. mail.app does the exact same thing.
