Hmm, generally there's a convention to namespace prefs set by extensions like extensions.foo.bar.prefname, but since it seems like these prefs will have meaning beyond the scope of this extension, maybe it's good to omit it.

_Note that this will require another migration function for all users currently using the add-on from the studies. _
