Steps to reproduce:
before it happened I did nothing
after it happened I followed every instruction I could find=
I reindexed the data base
I deleted Thunderbird
I reinstalled Thunderbird
Actual results:
while no mails are lost in Thunderbird,
still all my data in Lightning are (seem) lost:
all pages (monthly, weekly, daily...) in Lighning are blank
all my appointments, birthdays, events... have vanished
Expected results:
my data should have been recovered

If by the AppMenu in the Calendar toolbar you mean one similar to your attached image
then yes, I have the AppMenu in the Calendar toolbar (mine is in Dutch)
but I do not have the three icons above the the AppMenu in the Calendar toolbar you show

Do you get any error messages reported in Tools > Error Console? Do you use 3rd party extension that modify Lightning?

OK, so no errors are reported. Maybe someone else has an idea on how to support you with your problem.
for a previous bug I allowed someone access through Teamviewer
I feel abandoned by Thunderbird
can somebody please relaunch my request for help ?

The support forums might be a better place to ask. https://support.mozilla.org/questions/new/thunderbird
You can check the calendar-data folder in your profile and see if the data there can help resolve it.

thank you, Magnus, for a quick reply
I have checked the calendar-data folder in my profile
in there I find three sqlite-files:
one named cache.sqlite, dated dec 19 2019
one named deleted.sqlite, dated nov 12 2019
one named local.sqlite, dated jan 25 2015
In the file labeled backup I find old files dated jan 25 2015

I think we must assume we will not discover the reason for the problem
