User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Launch Firefox
2. Install Addons
3. Close Firefox
4. Move profile to other location
5. Launch Firefox

Same problem with Thunderbird

Actual results:

Addons are disabled. In Addon manager looks like enabled but are disabled.

Expected results:

Addons should be enabled

Hi,

How were you able to open FF with the same profile after moving the profile folder? I did it and I got a message saying "Profile missing: Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

Hi,

Thanks for the link! Ok, I did all the steps and I got to open the profile and check the add-on but it was active. So I suggest 3 things:

1. update your FF version, you're on 68 and we're now on v 72: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release and try again
2. If you still encounter the error on that version, you might find that on version 74 the bug has been fixed: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-nightly
3. If all else failed, do tell me what add-on is being moved as disabled (url of the add-on is the best).

I used esr version, tried v72 and v74 still not working
I tested it with command line parameter -profile "profile_path"
(https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Command_Line_Options?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Command_Line_Options)
AddonI used NoScript https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/

Addon may be active I am not sure, but icon disappeared from bar.

If you open Customize mode from the menu do you see your extension icons? If so you can drag them back into the toolbar.
