I have some recent messages in my inbox that show up with an incorrect date (12/31/69). Viewing mail with another client (OS X Jaguar Mail.app) shows the correct date. I've pasted the headers of some sample messages below. Sample bad message: From - Wed Jul 24 07:03:48 2002 X-Mozilla-Status: 0001 X-Mozilla-Status2: 00000000 From: "Apple Computer" <support@mac.com> To: <tonyg@mac.com> Subject: Information About Your iTools Membership Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Apple .Mac Mailer Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="mime-part-separator" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. If you see this message, then you aren't using a MIME compliant mail reader. --mime-part-separator Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Dear iTools member, Today we announced .Mac, pronounced "Dot Mac," that replaces the Apple iTools service. In the two and a half years since we introduced iTools, both the demand for Internet services and the cost of providing them has increased dramatically. As a result, we're no longer able to offer iTools for free. Instead, we are introducing a new paid membership program that will allow us to continually enhance and expand our Internet services offerings for our customers. Sample good message: From - Thu Aug 1 12:42:16 2002 X-Mozilla-Status: 0001 X-Mozilla-Status2: 00000000 Return-Path: <noreply@mac.com> Received: from ms03.mac.com ([10.13.11.155]) by ms03.mac.com (Netscape Messaging Server 4.15 ms03 Mar 5 2002 15:11:07) with SMTP id GZRV4400.D2Z for <tonyg@ms03.mac.com>; Wed, 24 Jul 2002 14:16:52 -0700 From: "Apple Internet Services" <noreply@mac.com> To: "Tony Graham" <tonyg@mac.com> Subject: How to Edit your iPhoto Page on the Web Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Apple iTools Mailer Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="mime-part-separator" Date: Wed, 24 Jul 2002 14:16:51 -0700 Message-ID: <20020724211651.AAA26448+3552480@ms03.mac.com> This is a multi-part message in MIME format. Hey, you're right. I still have one of those ".mac" spams from Apple and it has a date of 12/31/1969. However, it's because Apple sent those without a Date header. Thus, this is a dup of bug 132779. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 132779 ***
