The check mark should be displayed for the option selected.

This is a regression, Release 72 is not affected. Will come back with the regression range asap. Also works fine on Chrome.

Despite this being a video, since YouTube doesn't use the default video / audio controls, I'm not 100% certain this is the right component. We should figure out why the click event isn't being handled by the page correctly to update their UI.

Will come back with the regression range asap.

Yes, a regression range will probably give us a clearer sense of where the bug should be filed.

This problem seems disappear if disable tracking protection of cookies.

i.e.,
Options > Privacy & Security > Select radio button "Custom" of "Enhanced Tracking Protection" > Uncheck checkbox of "Cookies"

This is a bug on YouTube's side. Peter, any chance you could please help reach out to them? Thanks!

ping?

Arthur, can we won't fix this? Peter/we/webcompat should still followup with Youtube to let them know about this bug. But adding a heuristic to this would be very youtube specific and fragile.

One option here could be to use sessionStorage if cookies/localStorage is not available (e.g. if navigator.cookieEnabled returns false.)

Let's keep this open until we get a definitive answer from YouTube.

Our friends at YouTube have filed an internal bug to fix this.

Aren't these kinds of bugs supposed to be under the Web Compatibility product in Bugzilla?
