RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1601905

People

(Reporter: ns, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0

Steps to reproduce:

Many of our customers open an MS Word file with spaces in the name in Firefox. E.g. "A B.docx"

Actual results:

This since recently often results in Word trying to open the first part of the filename with .doc as extension and the second part with the proper extension. E.g. "A.doc" and "B.docx". Of course both files do not exist, it gives two errors.

Expected results:

It should have opened the file with the full name: "A B.docx".

Note that the server does put the filename between double quotes in the content-disposition header and there is no problem using Chrome.

hi, thanks for reporting the problem - it seems to be the same issue that's tracked in bug 1601905.
