Bug 1606879 tracks the efforts to enable shutting down via _exit(0) or similar, which will be a substantial focus of the fxperf team in the near future. However, we shouldn't close our eyes to simple shutdown quality of life improvements which we can implement more cheaply. Thus, this tracks all work related to shutdown which the fxperf team is likely to be involved with.
