Steps to reproduce:

When the dark theme is applied, the loading screen could be dark as well, instead of flashing white, when users press a search button.

We expose this via CompositorController.setClearColor(). Can you try that?

No, this isn't fixed. When loading about:blank we get a very short flash with a dark blank page loaded afterwards now.
