Details
We currently have browsertime pageload tests (plus the visual metrics tests) running for Firefox on desktop but we will need to enable fission for these tests as well.

We should up the priority of this; using visual metrics for comparisons is important, especially for dashboards

There are still a few issues that we have to solve (see blockers) before we can enable fission + browsertime tests.

Dave - I realize sparky is busy elsewhere; what else still needs to be done here and what resources could be used to backfill in the meantime?
Moved to m6c, but impacts work on fission perf

We're spread thin and with sparky diverted to QUIC, there's essentially no progress being made on visual page load for desktop. If others have badwidth to help push this forward then sparky can help guide them to the most relevant bugs.

:jesup, I can get linux browsertime fission tests running relatively easily: https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=try&tier=1%2C2%2C3&revision=6f3ef867f28ca69b79294121b07bffba7b6d8942
We could have them run nightly on mozilla-central so you can start gathering some data for comparisons. How does that sound for you?
Windows/Mac have some extra issues we need to work through before we can enable anything on those.

Should we close this bug? Is there more to do that isn't obvious?
