On https://senglehardt.com/test/trackingprotection/test_pages/social_tracking_protection.html, the content blocking log shows social cookies blocked but the UI says none detected. Need to investigate this...

Seems like the cookies are being classified as normal (non-social) trackers. I see social trackers being classified correctly on other sites.
Steve, is this an issue with your test page being out of date or something?

I've noticed while investigating another bug that this issue reproduces only on clean profiles.
The way to fix this issue is by:
- Going to about:preferences#privacy.
- Select Custom mode and make sure that everything is selected except "Cookies" and refresh the page.
- Then select "Standard" again and refresh the page.
I hope this will help on your investigation.

No the test page is up to date and seems to be working correctly on my current profile (including the UI -- I see the three blocked domains). Like Oana mentions in Comment 2, I can reproduce the issue on a fresh profile. The includes after I refresh the test page or visit other pages.
The only thing that's different about these test origins is that they ONLY appear on the social tracking protection lists, whereas all of the other (real) tracking domains on the social tracking protection lists (e.g., social-tracking-protection-*-digest256
) are also on the ETP level 1 lists (e.g., ads-track-digest256
, analytics-track-digest256
or social-track-digest256
).
