There is a similar rfe in the browser keyboard navigation component (bug 79047), but I'm told the Mail & News keybindings are a separate issue. In the 3-pane view, space scrolls down regardless of which pane has the focus. It would be nice if shift+space scrolled up in the message pane just as space scrolls down. By the way, where is the binding that makes space scroll down regardless of focus?

Shift-Space should give a space, YOU CAN'T TYPE ALL CAPS WITHOUT THAT.
By all means, you should be able to type ALL CAPS in a *compose* window, but I was referring to *viewing* messages in the 3-pane window.
