¡Hola Gabriele!

Found this one on my 87.0a1:

https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/3f405276-3983-489d-b1fe-b840e0210205

Updating flags per https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/signature/?product=Firefox&signature=IPCError-browser%20%7C%20ShutDownKill%20%7C%20EMPTY%3A%20no%20crashing%20thread%20identified%3B%20ERROR_NO_MINIDUMP_HEADER

Seems like it is happening much more on 87.0a1 in the most recent past week but not showing in "Crash Data" for this bug for some reason.

Does the signature need updating perhaps?

Hope this is helpful.

¡Gracias!
Alex

Yeah, that's odd. The signature appears correct but there's something wrong going on with the crash report. Not only the minidump is empty but there's other missing bits.

Flags: needinfo?(gsvelto)

We're adding better error reporting for this kind of issues; I should be able to figure out what's going wrong in one or two months tops.

While it's not apparent from the graphs and the aggregations all of these crashes are coming from Windows. It seems that Linux never fails when grabbing this kind of minidumps which is a bit of a disappointment because we added extensive error reporting to it :-(

Closing because no crashes reported for 12 weeks.

This doesn't show up any more because it's a shutdownkill crash and we stopped breaking up the signatures into more granular buckets. Bug # 1727149.
