I want to clean all reference to Firefox AND RELATED CONTENT from my computer so I do not get a "reinstall" message.
message. I tried to find and delete all information re Firefox and failed.
I want to install Firefox with out any past reference and without nuking and reinstalling Windows.
How? Link?

Expected results:

just keep working after update.
"clean virgin reinstall" should be easy to find and do

hello, in which context did you see "Launcher Process failed" - is this an error message/can you create a screenshot? what exactly is happening after you click it away?

I'm having the same problems. Firefox updated automatically overnight and then when I switched on my Windows 10 laptop I can't get any web pages to load in Firefox 73.0 . I can open the lists in the menu bars and can open the menu in the toolbar but nothing opens.

I was not able to reproduce this issue either in latest Firefox Nightly or in Firefox Release from version 72.0 updating to the latest version on Windows 7.
I will set a component so the corresponding team can take a look at this.
Launcher process team, if this is not the right component please feel free to route this ticket to the corresponding team, thanks!

The symptom sounds like bug 1614885, the root cause could be different though.

@b obrien and @Jonathan, could you please install the latest release version 73.0.1 manually and see the same issue still happens?

Thanks Toshihito,

That's a great news, too. I got an email from the reporter last week which says,

A few days ago, [5?] I cleared the dependent items to Firefox in the Windosw 7 registry, then installed firefox latest version "on top" of the existing version without "uninstalling" the then existing version, . I probably overwrote whatever it was that was the problem.
The bug disappeared. I do not know why. I know nothing more to add.

Given these reports, let us resolve this bug.
