User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:75.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/75.0
Steps to reproduce:
- open https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?classification=Client%20Software&classification=Developer%20Infrastructure&classification=Components&classification=Server%20Software&classification=Other&keywords=perf&keywords_type=allwords&query_format=advanced&resolution=---&order=priority%2Cbug_severity&limit=0
- click on the "Updated" table column label to sort the table
Actual results:
the website/the browser feels slow because there is nothing happing for a few seconds.
since the bugzilla website does not respond to the click immediately the enduser could even think he did not click the element
Expected results:
more or less immediate feedback, which tells me that my click was successfull and the table is beeing sorted in the meantime.
not sure whether this is something which can be optimized by firefox itself, or should be taken care of in bugzilla source code.
Hi,
I was unable to reproduce this issue on my end, I tried on Windows 10, MacOS 10.14.5 and Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS with Firefox Nightly version 75.0a1 (2020-02-21) (64-bit), Beta 74.0b6 and Release 73.0.1.
Does this issue occur with a fresh profile as well? You can find the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager
You can also try testing if the issue is reproducible in safe mode, here is a link that can help you:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
If after doing this you can still reproduce the bug, would you send a video of the bug?
Thanks, I've chosen a component for this bug in hope that someone with more expertise may look at it. We'll await their answer.
Regards,
Jerónimo.

hmm it seems GDATA strikes again. the AV scanning seems to slow down firefox nightly considerably (and also some other apps).
