The inability to enter the "at" - @ sign when using the GFX widget renderer. I
can work around this by using the native Mac OS widget set, and the partial GFX
set
.
The problem applies to such inputlines as the "to:" line in new mail messages,
and the adress book Cards. I have a Swedish system, running Mac OS 8.6.


I had to enter the above sign by pasting.

Platform: Mac OS 8.5 (see bug 13016 and other for Win32 issues)

To reproduce:
- Launch apprunner
- Click into the Location: control
- Type Option+S

Result: Nothing happens.

Expected result: 'ß' should appear.

All characters generated using the Option key as a modifier do not work. This is
a serious usability issue. For example, you would press Option+\ (using the
Swedish keyboard layout with a US keyboard) to generate the '@' character -
until this is fixed, you can't use 5.0 to send mail. Upgrading severity, marking
dogfood, performing arcane voudou ritual in hopes of getting this one Fixed.

This is now working, as of build 1999-10-14-11, Milestone 11. For me at least.
