Bug 1616685 - Disable WebRender on Gen7.5.
Beta/Release Uplift Approval Request
- User impact if declined: WebRender will be used on some machines where it doesn't run as well as it could. I meant to ask for beta uplift for this originally but I forgot to. It's not critical that we get it into a release but it's very low risk.
- Is this code covered by automated tests?: No
- Has the fix been verified in Nightly?: No
- Needs manual test from QE?: No
- If yes, steps to reproduce:
- List of other uplifts needed: None
- Risk to taking this patch: Low
- Why is the change risky/not risky? (and alternatives if risky): This is a very low risk change. We've gone back and forth with WebRender on this population for a number of releases.
- String changes made/needed:

WebRender enabled for Intel Haswell HD Graphics 4600 only? I have Intel Haswell HD Graphics 4400 and WebRender does not work.

We've currently disabled WebRender on all Haswell GPUs but are actively working to improve things so that we feel comfortable turning it back on. Bug 1576637 is tracking that work.

Thanks for the answer. WR fixed on Linux for now. I thought that for all platforms.
