Details

I am using Mozilla 1.1Beta as my default browser and in both Mozilla and Netscape 6, you cannot use auto scroll. On mice with a scroll wheel can click the wheel to change the cursor into a scroll icon that allows you to scroll your pages using the mouse. On mice without a scroll wheel this behaviour can still be achieved by clicking on 2 buttons at the same time. I am using 2 different Kensington Expert Mouse trackballs on 2 different computers (work & home computers) When I try to do Mouse scrolling, the mouse pointer changes but the page does not scroll. I noticed on these bug pages, that have list boxes, that the list box items scroll but not the page (this does not happen on all pages though, it did happen on the page you get when selecting bug report from the mozilla.org/start page. P.S. All other programs I have (even non microsoft programs) scroll fine with this feature, just not Mozilla & Netscape 6.
Confirmed on Moz BuildID #2002080718 using Win2000. I use the MS P/S2 IntelliMouse Mouse device. (The most common MS compactible Mouse). That leave me with this important questions. Does Mozilla support this? If yes, then it is a bug. If not then the Mozilla programming may not have been written for this "feature enhanced" request. Would need to fork this over to someone who know alot about this. See bug #22775, #63462, #63712, etc. Too many to list but the 1st 3 I put down make a good references for starter. Use the search keyword, "mouse scroll" if you can't think of a keyword.
