Expected results:

Notmal browsing

Same crash for messenger.com

I cannot reproduce any crash by opening Facebook into Firefox Release v73.0.1 and navigating throughout the website. I have to mention that I don't know what "the new interface" of Facebook is. We need you to answer some questions in order to move this bug forward.

  1. Please explain exactly how you switch to the new interface.
  2. Can you constantly reproduce it?
  3. Please provide us with a crash report. Please be careful to provide us the crash report corresponding to your described issue.
Details how: open the browser with the same profile it crashed, go to the "about:crashes", tap the "Submit" button (if needed) and "View" button corresponding to a Report ID that has the date and time of the crash you caused and then copy the link of the crash report into this bug.
A crash report looks like this: https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/bdcfc944-ccb7-4a82-a749-13b940200214
  4. Do you confirm that you are talking about an issue of Firefox Release v73.0.1 on Windows 10 computer?

Thank you for your contribution!

    Yes

    Correct

It appears I'm not of the "lucky ones" to get to test Facebook's new interface so I can't reproduce it, but I will confirm it based on the crash reports.
Hopefully, those will be enough to troubleshoot the cause of the crash.

I do not know whether this component is correct. Please set a more appropriate one if the case.
Thank you for your contribution!

It seems you're using HTTP3
You should be able to fix the crashes by setting the network.http.http3.enabled pref to false.
Otherwise it's fixed in Firefox 74.
