If you drag and drop a directory into the attachment pane of an email
composition window, it looks like it works, but when you send the email, it
fails to send saying to check your preferences/settings.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a directory with a few small text files in it.
2.Compose an email.
3.Drag and drop directory into the attachments pane.

Actual Results:  Looks like it is behaving as expected, but produces unrelated
error message when you hit send.

Expected Results:  It should either send the directory and it's contents as an
attachment, or produce some sort of error message when you try to attach a
directory. At a minimum, it should produce a relevant error message when you try
to send the email, and not something apparently unrelated.

Confirmed using FizzillaCFM/2002080508. Since Mozilla won't send the message
successfully with a folder attached, it should refuse folders as attachments
until such time as it will send them succesfully.

Revising summary and reassigning to Attachments.

The Win2K version of this is bug 188598.

This is cross-platform, I don't see a reason to keep multiple versions of this bug for different platforms. -> duplicate of bug 188598.
