Currently when a git or hg operation fails the sentry entry is generic: command 'git' failed to complete successfully
There's a few issues with this resulting in all of these reports being non-actionable in sentry:
- the error message generated by the VCS isn't sent to sentry
- there's types of VCS failures which do not need to be logged. eg. failure to apply a patch due to a merge conflict
