Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0)
BuildID: 20020530

All is right, but when I start playing mp3 with XMMS, the frontend freezes
whereas the modem is still downloading data. I have tried to use Web Konqueror
(KDE 2.x) and there is no problem. XMMS don't have the real-time priority.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log under KDE
2. Start XMMS or Mozilla
3. Start the second one
4. Surf the Web !

Actual Results: The Mozilla's windows are no more refreshed as if there was an
infinite loop in a real-time application and Mozilla had the idle time
priority. All other windows are refreshed normally

Expected Results: Mozilla's windows should be refreshed as the others

I'm using the Mandrake 8.2 distribution with an AMD Athlon @ 900Mhz
WFM on linux 2002080804. and Xmms 1.2.7

Does this happen on every page you surf? Maybe the is a problem with flash
trying to use your sound card, while Xmms is using it. In that case, see bug 58339.
I'd say this is bug 58339
(in which case you should start mozilla w/ the command "artsdsp mozilla" )
XMMS should also be set up to use arts

Reporter: re-open if you think otherwise
