Product engineering teams are beginning to use bugzilla only for security related bugs (see bug 1619113). We should improve discoverability for localizers to know where to file bugs for the projects they're working on.

Placing a new field between "Repository" and "Contact" called, "File Bug" with a link to where to file bugs for the product would improve discoverability for localizers.

On a second though... we already have a Resources section, to which PMs can easily add a "File a bug" link in the admin.

See an example on stage:

I'd say that solves the problem. Jeff?

Yeah, that would work well.

Flags: needinfo?(jbeatty)

That would mean that, in different projects:

  • The link could have different text.
  • It could be in a completely different position (different order).

Take for example Monitor, that section is already overcrowded
https://pontoon.mozilla.org/projects/firefox-monitor-website/

"Issues tracking" sounds like a good candidate for a different field.

We organize project metadata on dashboards into two levels:

  • Level 1: Project priority, deadline, repository, contact person
  • Level 2: Development build, Staging server, Screenshots...

Level 1 is of higher priority and hence more visible. The question here is on what level is the "File a bug" link. To me it seems less important for localizers than items on Level 2.

Note that different text could be a feature, given that we have "bugs" and "issues" and "trackers". :-) But if we want a consistent name, we can add it to the list of autocomplete items.

In any case, we should improve the CSS of the Resources items, it doesn't look too good with multiple items.

I think you're right, it's more of a level 2.

WFM, especially if we can come up with autocomplete for resource names.
