Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:73.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/73.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Type "dov"
- Observe "dovico.mycompany.com" in the URL bar
- Press Down, Delete (it disappears)
- Repeat from 1., ad infinitum :-)
Actual results:
The URL / server name (not page) is one that was once on a company network, and they have the 'world' icon. These URLs are no longer valid, so I never want to see them again, but they come up at the very top of the suggestion list (I guess because I used to use them a lot?)
They also do not appear in the global history (Ctrl+Shift+H) so there seems no way to delete them.
Expected results:
Really delete these URLs from history, as they appear to do at step 3.
(This happens regularly for me, as more & more company services get moved out to cloud-hosted providers.)

Did you actually try to search for "dovico" in the history sidebar? Searching may show more entries than just visual inspection.
This may also be dupe of bug 806178...

Yes, searching both history dialog & sidebar history...
... but it turns out this was also a bookmark. After deleting that (from Ctrl+Shift+B) and the address bar, and restarting FF a few times, it now finally stay away.
