We are seeing bug 1597997 again, Ted do you know of any recent landing that could have brought this back? Maybe bug 1623973 or bug 1623780?

Neither of those issues seemed related and am surprised this was a more recent regression. There are certainly some long-standing issues where names are screwed up for certain types of anonymous functions. Somewhere under Bug 1544117 we'll need to revisit the function (internal) naming code which likely is related.
I now have instructions to reproduce this on try so I can test out a few things and see if I can narrow down just where the names are missing from.
