My wife is trying to use Firefox on Mac to watch lectures, and the browser becomes unresponsive quickly after the videos start. Unfortunately I can't share the URL because it needs auth, but they appear to be using a system called Slidespiel (https://slidespiel.com/).

I was able to pull a profile (https://perfht.ml/2xGtVYz) which shows nsCycleCollector_collectSlice occupying all time in the content process (more than 13s).

What does about:memory look like? The most common cause of long CC times in ghost windows (eg leaked windows), though usually those require time to accumulate.

Flags: needinfo?(snorp)

I'm not able to take a measurement. Chrome and Safari also choke similarly on this page, so I think the content is just doing something pathological.
